Spring Alameda County Senior Pictures

The joy of being a photographer is getting to know seniors and their families. Bay Area and Northern California seniors, your senior portrait session is our opportunity to celebrate you and all of your accomplishments over these past four years. So with that in mind, I have to say my portrait session with Aly was such a memorable time. I love celebrating our local Foothill High School seniors! We chatted about her college plans, her family’s history of portrait sessions during their travels (their England session sounded especially amazing!), and of course her upcoming senior ball. 

Pleasanton, CA Urban Senior Pictures

For this session Aly and her mom loved some of the locations I offered in downtown Pleasanton. All the varied textures such as the wall of greenery and rustic wood offered them a bit of variety, which is key when you will be displaying photos throughout your home. Her mom loved the look of the barn wood because it coordinated with the decor in their house. We all were excited that the sage green wall matched Aly's floral dress perfectly. The dark dress really popped against the light backdrop. I loved the story behind that dress too! It was one Aly’s mom had purchased for herself and it wound up in Aly’s closet. Sounds exactly like my house haha! 

Foothill High School, Pleasanton, CA Senior Pictures 

The gown images were especially important to this session because Aly didn’t love her yearbook cap and gown photos. This unfortunately can happen when you sit for a yearbook photo with the studio your high school has chosen. In my experience as a senior mom, there was no time for my daughter to unwind and let her authentic self be photographed. It was a quick in-and-out session and she was one of many seniors that the studio photographed that day. There just isn't enough time to relax and let your true self come out. That is why finding a senior portrait photographer who invests their time in building a relationship with you, that you feel comfortable with, allows time for all that to organically happen before the session is so vital. It became my mission to recreate these and make them extra special for Aly. I never want my clients to settle for basic when they can have something fabulous that they truly love. Also a huge thank you to one of my long-time clients for lending me the gown! That is one example of why I love you all! I have such a feeling of community and friendship with clients I have been privileged to know and build relationships with over the years. I am so grateful!
